Cursive text guide
Pick script for decoration and italic for readability
Cursive results use Unicode mathematical script or italic characters. Script has connected, handwritten shapes; italic is a slanted version that usually remains easier to read in names and short phrases.
Use short text
Script works best for initials, signatures, profile names and brief captions. In long paragraphs, similar letter shapes make scanning slower and can be difficult for screen-reader users.
Check accents and capitals
Unicode script has gaps for some accented letters and symbols. Test the exact spelling you need; a mixed result with one ordinary character may be better than replacing or removing it.
Compare punctuation and numbers separately
A script alphabet may transform letters while leaving a date, apostrophe, ampersand, or currency symbol untouched. Enter the complete phrase rather than judging a sample word, and decide whether that mixed texture supports the intended design.
Remember that script is not handwriting
Unicode script uses fixed character shapes and spacing chosen by the destination font. It cannot create custom letter connections, flourishes, or a personal signature. For exact lettering artwork, use a drawing or typography tool instead.
Check normalization before publishing
An accented letter can be stored as one precomposed character or as a base letter followed by a combining mark. Both may look identical, but a script alphabet might transform only the base and leave the accent positioned by the destination font. Test the complete name after paste, including apostrophes, hyphens, emoji, and every accent. If spacing becomes uneven, prefer italic or a lighter script family, retain the unsupported letter in its ordinary form, and keep the plain spelling available for search, editing, and accessible alternatives in every destination.
